Project work: In the Geoengineering project my main activities are evaluating the impacts of climate engineering on the crop potential distribution and yield. Specifically, the research activities include: (1) Identifying the actual distribution and extent for rice, maize and wheat based on remote sensing data; (2) Analyzing the relationship between crop distribution/yield and climate factors (temperature, precipitation, CO2 fertilization); (3) Zoning of crop suitability and cultivation suitability; (4) Predicting crop sown area and yield in a geoengineered climate; and (5) Recommending policies for crop distribution and crop patterns (e.g., succession of crops, intercropping, farming system (e.g., the two-ripe system of paddy rice and autumn potato)).
